Effects of this medicine
This medicine is usually used to retard progression of male pattern alopecia.
Dosing schedule (How to take this medicine)
・In general, for male adults, take 0.2 mg of the active ingredient at a time, once a day. The dosage may be increased as necessary. However, the maximum daily dose is 1 mg. This preparation contains 1 mg of the active ingredient in a tablet. Strictly follow the instructions.
・If you miss a dose, take the missed dose as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose. You should never take two doses at one time.
Before using this medicine, be sure to tell your doctor and pharmacist
・If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines.
・If you are planning to undergo prostate cancer screening (PSA test).
・If you are pregnant, breastfeeding or possibly pregnant.
・If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)
Precautions while taking this medicine
・Do not break/crush this medicine. (The pharmacological effect of this medicine [that results in decreased dihydrotestosterone] may affect the normal development of genitalia in a male fetus).
